Costs and Fundraising

  • There are two costs to participate in cross country:
Registration Fee: $90 registration fee can be paid in Infinite Campus under fees. The link to pay will not open until after coach closes the roster (about second week. Note: this varies each year, opening later some years and earlier in others). This fee will be modified if you have free/reduced lunch. This fee covers coaches, facility, administrative support and buses. It will be due before attending the first meet (8/20).  
 
Team Donation: To pay for Friday before meet team dinners, equipment upkeep/replacement we require a team fee/donation of $25. We do not receive funds from the Unit 5 district. We obtain all  of our equipment and purchase team dinners independently of Unit 5.  
 
Place cash in an envelope with your child's name AND "cross country" printed clearly on the front and TURN INTO FRONT OFFICE. For checks, ensure your child's name AND "XC" is printed in the memo. Make checks out to: PJHS-XC. If this fee causes a hardship, please contact Coach Bliss directly and it will be waived. This fee is due before the first meet 8/20.  
 
Please turn in $25 donation by August 20th. Once funds are collected, we will be able to resume team dinners on Fridays before Saturday meets.  
 
Fundraising: Our primary fundraising is done, in addition to the team donation, by hosting the Parkside Invite 9/10 and the State Meet 10/15. These are huge opportunities for us to build our funds in a short timeframe. It is a big undertaking but has a huge impact on our team account. All funds raised go 100% directly to EACH and EVERY team member.
